The studying in the college changes people’s life and gives new impressions and experience. It refers not only to the academic grades, but also to the social activities and communications. Some of the recommendations given below can help the student to feel themselves more comfortable in the new environment.
The first advice is to attend as many university events as possible from the thematically parties to the educational seminars and lectures. During such events the students can take a closer look at the group mates and find common language with other people. During the college events and activities the students can understand that they have common hobbies, talents and interests and it can become the beginning of new relations.
The next recommendation is not to fall in love with the person which lives close to you. Usually the students live in the university dorms and communicate with each other a lot. Because of it many couples are formed between the neighbors as people have many chances to learn each other. But unfortunately, majority of the college couples comes apart during the studying year and yesterday’s loving couple has many arguments and quarrels. It is very inconvenient to be enemies with the neighbors.
The following advice is connected with the previous: do not date with classmates. The reason is the same. Usually college couples are unstable and after parting people have many problems and restrictions in communication. So the best decision if to fall in love with somebody from other classes and companies. Unsuccessful personal relationships often influence on the academic results and it is very bad for the future goals of the students.
It is natural that college students pay a lot of their attention on the personal relationships, but the main rule is not to sacrifice the academic success to the personal preference and feelings.
